Make it safe first
- Don't cycle the opener. Repeated attempts on a jammed or derailed door do real damage - and can bring it down.
- Leave the red cord alone if the door is up. The release disconnects the opener's grip; on a broken spring, that grip may be the only thing holding the door.
- Keep kids and pets out of the garage. Especially with a derailed or half-open door.
- Take a photo. A picture of the spring, cable, or track texted after your call often means the truck arrives with the right part first try.

Is a broken garage door actually an emergency?
Three situations, yes: a vehicle trapped inside when you need to be somewhere, a door stuck open (your garage and everything in it is exposed), and a door that's come off its track and could fall. A door that's down, closed, and staying put can usually wait for a normal appointment - and we'll say so.
What does emergency or after-hours service cost?
The repair itself costs the same as it would on a Tuesday morning - springs, cables, and track work are priced by the job, not the hour of the night. After-hours calls carry a service-call fee we state up front on the phone before anyone rolls. No surprise multipliers.
My car is trapped and I have to get to work. What do I do?
If the door is DOWN and a spring is broken, don't yank the red release cord and try to muscle it - a spring-dead door is 150+ pounds of dead weight. Call us first. If the door is functional but the opener is dead (power outage), the release cord and a steady lift is exactly what it's for.
The door is stuck open and it's night. Anything I can do while I wait?
Don't force it down - if a cable or spring let go, forcing it can bend the tracks or drop the door. Disconnect the opener so nobody triggers it, move anything valuable out of easy reach, and leave the rest to us in the morning - or call now and we'll walk through whether it can be safely lowered.
